Chart: See how UNITY spends our federal grants

UNITY coordinates the work of a collaborative of nonprofit and governmental agencies providing housing and services to people experiencing homelessness. UNITY applies for competitive federal grants, distributes them to our member agencies and oversees their work. On any given night, our collaborative is providing rent assistance and case management services to over 3500 people who formerly were homeless, most of them people with mental and/or physical disabilities who would fall back into homelessness without these supports. Funding decisions are made by the Continuum of Care Governing Council consisting of our government partners, the Council of People with Lived Experience, and nonprofit service provider representatives. Every year UNITY’s finances and the administration of these funds is scrutinized by an independent auditor. UNITY has a long record of clean audits.
