2021 New Funding Opportunities

UNITY of Greater New Orleans, the lead agency for the Homeless Continuum of Care (CoC) for New Orleans, Jefferson Parish and Kenner, is seeking proposals from non-profit and government agencies to select project sponsors for the 2021 HUD CoC funding competition. These RFPs reflect the funding priorities adopted by the CoC Governing Council that can be addressed with HUD CoC Funds in the 2021 competition.

RFP #21-4: Jefferson Parish Coordinated Entry and Problem Solving 

RFP #21-5: Next Steps for Survivors TH-RRH Joint Component Project

All new project proposals must be submitted via email to proposals@unitygno.org no later than 12:00 p.m. noon on Wednesday, November 23, 2021

Some funding  opportunities have a preference for new project sponsors who are not currently funded through the CoC program.

Respondents will be notified by Friday, December 3, 2021 of local selection of project sponsors to be submitted in the local CoC application to HUD.

Expected announcement of awards by HUD in the spring of 2022 with start dates expected in the summer or fall of 2022.

Funding Priorities

The Governing Council establishes funding priorities in coordination with government partners and through the valued participation of stakeholders including: people with lived experience, the Youth Action Board, Racial Equity Task Force, Human Trafficking Task Force, Government partners, CoC member organizations, and other community partners.

New RFPs will be issued on October 25, 2021 to request proposals for projects that will be included in the 2021 CoC Funding application to HUD that will be submitted by UNITY of Greater New Orleans for the New Orleans-Jefferson Parish-Kenner Continuum of Care (CoC).
