All Project Sponsors of HUD CoC grants (Direct Grantees and Sub-recipients) must complete and return an application to the Continuum of Care (CoC) to request renewal of CoC funding in the 2021 funding competition.
1. Intent to Renew
The first step is for current grantees and project sponsors to indicate an intent to submit a renewal application which will:
-Indicate that the applicant is requesting CoC funding through renewal of an existing CoC funded project;
-The applicant affirms commitment to providing matching funds as required;
-The applicant affirms that it meets HUD and CoC threshold for renewal funding.
Intent to Renew information must be submitted to proposals@unitygno.org no later than Friday, October 15 @ noon.
2. Local CoC Competition Application
The local application will be used by the CoC Evaluation and Project Selection Committee to score and rank projects that will be included in the CoC application to HUD. The application will be available on October 25, 2021.
The deadline for renewal applications is Friday, November 5, 2021. Applicants are encouraged to meet the early submission deadline of Wednesday, November 3 to receive bonus scoring points.
Applications must be submitted to proposals@unitygno.org

3. Project Scoring and Ranking
Each project that has passed threshold review, will be scored to determine funding priority among all the projects in the CoC. Projects with higher scores will be prioritized and ranked higher in the project listing.
Project Performance Scoring Key was approved by the CoC Governing Council October 20, 2021 and will be used to score projects and determine a priority ranking for renewal projects. The Governing Council has decided to prioritize all project renewals for Tier 1 in 2021 due to COVID and impact of Hurricane Ida on our programs and their staff.
Please submit suggestions about project scoring and ranking no later than October 19 using this form. Any responses submitted after that date will be considered in 2022.
