They’re living on the street — but you can get them housed by the holidays!

They’re living on the street — but you can get them housed by the holidays!

In the last several weeks, we filmed some brief videos of a few of our clients so you could learn from them what exactly they are going through, what it’s like to be homeless during a pandemic.  Michael and John are two chronically homeless New Orleanians with complex disabilities who are suffering right now sleeping out in the cold. John sleeps in an abandoned building in Treme, while Michael sleeps under the 610 overpass in Gentilly. They are just two of the clients our outreach team is working with. You can help them get housed before the holidays.

Young Dominsha and her little daughter slept in their car for six months and are currently having to stay in a shelter with a lot of other people; you can help them get their own apartment by the holidays too. And the UNITY coalition just housed an out-of-work chef named Thomas and his family who were sleeping in their car– they still need furniture and household items, and there are hundreds more people just like them whom we still need to house and get out of the cold.  Thank you for your help!
